Jonathan Care

Jonathan Care is an expert in cybersecurity and fraud detection and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He regularly advises industry leaders on strategic growth and has worked with key figures across industry and government worldwide, including as an expert witness and forensic investigator in court proceedings.

Prior to joining KuppingerCole, Jonathan spent 33 years in the industry, including as a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner until 2022, where he defined the Fraud market and led the Insider Threat and Risk research practice. He also held roles at Sun Microsystems, Verisign, and Visa Europe.

He holds numerous certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner, PCI DSS-qualified Forensic Investigator and Security Assessor, and U.K. Government-Accredited Penetration Tester. Jonathan also writes for Dark Reading.
