Biography
Arno Spiegel is Deputy Head of Department I/8 - Cybersecurity and Crisis Data Center - at the Federal Chancellery, having previously been Head of the NIS Office. He has been working at the Federal Chancellery since 2018 and was closely involved in the implementation of the first NIS Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/1148). Under his leadership, the NIS Office was then responsible for legislative implementing the NIS 2 Directive. His current responsibilities include managing national cybersecurity certification in accordance with the Cybersecurity Act and establishing the notifying authority in accordance with the Cyber Resilience Act. Arno Spiegel previously worked at a law firm for almost 10 years, while also acquiring technical expertise. He has been a member of the ENISA Management and Executive Board since 2022.Sessions
