Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress to analyse the impact of AI on industrial cybersecurity

Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC), Europe’s leading cybersecurity business and knowledge-sharing platform, will bring together some of the foremost experts in the field for its seventh edition to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence on industrial cybersecurity worldwide. Under the theme “Connecting the European Cybersecurity Ecosystem”, the 2026 edition will take place from 3 to 5 November and will feature a congress programme with more than 150 speakers from around the world.

Against a backdrop marked by the widespread deployment of AI across industry and business, the seventh edition of BCC will use its conference programme to foster knowledge sharing, promote partnerships and strengthen collaboration between public institutions, research centres and companies in order to curb the rise in cyberattacks.

Structured around three main pillars: Cybersecurity as a strategic business and reputation asset; Artificial Intelligence, Identity and Trust in the Digital Environment; and Systemic, Cyber-Physical and Supply Chain Resilience, the congress will explore the trends shaping the future of cybersecurity.

International experts
Among the leading speakers is Connie McIntosh, Head of Security at Ericsson, internationally recognised for her career in cybersecurity, defence and the protection of critical infrastructure. McIntosh, who leads the integration of security, privacy and digital resilience into the company’s global strategy, has been included in Cyber Defense Magazine’s Top 100 Women in Cybersecurity list and received Fast Mode’s Young Leader of the Year 2025 award, among other distinctions.

Also taking part is Sounil Yu, regarded as one of the most influential voices in global cybersecurity. Co-founder and Chief AI Safety Officer at Knostic, a company specialising in artificial intelligence security, Yu is a member of the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame.

The congress will also feature Pekka Jokinen, Deputy Director General of Finland’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-FI), one of Europe’s leading authorities on digital resilience, and Arvin Bansal, former Chief Security Officer at several Fortune-listed companies, currently Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at C&S Wholesale Grocers and creator of the TRACE Framework, an innovative security governance model based on agentic AI.

Another prominent expert is Marcos Gómez, Deputy Director of Services at INCIBE-CERT, the incident response team of Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE). Holding a degree in Mathematical Sciences, Gómez is a highly respected cybersecurity specialist and regularly lectures on postgraduate and master’s programmes in the field.

The speaker line-up also includes Tim Brown (former CISO of SolarWinds and current Partner at Team8), Holger Spohn (cybersecurity expert specialising in defence and finance), Chris Hosking (Principal AI and Security Evangelist at SentinelOne), Seamus Lennon (Vice President of Operations for EMEA at ThreatLocker), Darren James (Senior Director of Product at Specops Software), Rob Harrison (Senior Vice President of Product Management at Sophos), Carlos Solano (executive and cybersecurity expert at NTT DATA) and Lino Santos (Coordinator of Portugal’s National Cybersecurity Centre), among others.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya (ACC), Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress will take place from 3 to 5 November alongside Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC).
