Biography
Carlos Payés is Strategic AI Executive at SentinelOne, based in Spain. He works with security and technology leaders on a problem that is growing fast: how to adopt AI without opening new doors for attackers, with a focus on agentic AI and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). His central argument is that perimeter-based security was built for a world where humans asked and tools waited, and that assumption no longer holds once AI agents plan, chain tools and act on their own. He speaks about how prompt injection, tool abuse and data exfiltration play out in agentic environments, where defenders are blind today, and what a security architecture looks like when the agent itself is the threat vector. Carlos has 10 years of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology. Before SentinelOne, he held roles at Qualys.
